About Me
My name is Kayla Fiore (she/her), and I was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey. I am currently a second-year Theatre Studies major and an Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing Communications minor at Ithaca College (IC), where I am considered a second-semester junior based on my credits. My primary focus is on directing, and I am also an IC Leadership Scholar, as well as a Vocalist and Communications Director of IC Premium Blend, Ithaca College's only all-female-aligned a cappella group! Through the Leadership Scholar Program, I am dedicated to leadership development while actively engaging with both my community and campus life.

During the spring semester of my freshman year, I was honored to be nominated by the head of Ithaca's Leadership Program to join the Ithaca Seminar Peer Leader program, an invitation-only opportunity for student leaders. That same semester, I directed my first production for IC Second Stage, The Last Five Years, and was named Producing Director of the Ithaca College Performing Arts Collective (ICPAC), a new student organization dedicated to making musical theatre productions accessible to both performers and audience members. I also had the privilege of co-directing our inaugural production, Pipe Dream Cabaret.

Theatre is my heartbeat, and directing is where my true passion lies. With over 20 shows under my belt, I have developed a deep enthusiasm for bringing stories to life on stage. As a director, my goal is to create performances that not only captivate audiences but also reimagine the source material in fresh and compelling ways. When I approach a script, I strive to make it my own by conceptualizing unique themes and employing dynamic blocking that elevates the narrative. I find musical theatre especially invigorating, as it blends collaboration and storytelling in a multidimensional and electrifying way.

My passion for theatre and directing runs deep, both as a fan and as a budding professional. In my spare time, I love going to the movies and attending Broadway shows.
