My Directing Philosophy
As a natural storyteller, my passion for directing is deeply rooted in the joy of connecting, entertaining, and engaging through narrative. From a young age, I've been compelled to share stories in ways that capture attention, evoke emotions, and spark conversations. Whether it's a retelling of my day or a scene on stage, my focus is always on finding those key moments—of humor, surprise, or awe—that make a story memorable.

My passion for theater-making is personal, grounded in my upbringing. My mother, a theater artist, instilled in me the idea that creativity is not confined to what’s available; it's something we carve out for ourselves. Her dedication to creating her own opportunities as an artist despite the challenges of life taught me that passion and hard work can co-exist, and that has shaped my journey in the arts.
In my approach to directing, I view every rehearsal, audition, and performance as an opportunity for growth. I believe that each actor, regardless of their role, has something important to contribute, and my responsibility is to guide them beyond their comfort zone, helping them develop both as performers and as people. My role is not just to bring out the best in the production but also to ensure the process itself is meaningful, joyous, and transformative.

I want my cast to feel the same excitement and fulfillment I experience when creating. While the quality of the final production is important, the journey we take together—filled with laughter, learning, and growth—is equally valuable.
